Intern Architect

Bio

Having developed a strong interest in design from a young age, Owen has explored the field from various perspectives. As an apprentice carpenter, he worked in residential, commercial and naval construction along the BC coast. Next, pursuing a bachelors in Environmental Design, following with a fellowship at the University of Manitoba and a technician position at the Centre of Architectural Structures & Technology. After earning his Master’s of Architecture and completing a CPCI research grant, he worked as a designer in Architectural firms, focusing on part fabrication and modular assembly headquartered in Winnipeg. Now, returning to the BC coast, Owen has joined Stuart Howard Architects as an Intern Architect, where he applies his expertise in the built and assembled environment to create detailed drawings. His analytical approach to the built world allows him to design with intention, while finding personal meaning in his work living in and exploring Vancouver.

Education Credentials

Owen is a member of the AIBC and RAIC, with a Master’s in Architecture and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Design from the University of Manitoba.
