Bio
Steve began his architectural internship with SHA in 2004, and has recently returned as a registered architect with 18 years of professional experience; working on a range of mid-to-large scale projects within the lower mainland and BC interior. Steve has considerable experience in all phases of project delivery, with a particular focus on multi-family mixed use, wood frame residential, seniors health care/ institutional, as well as commercial CLT structure projects. Steve believes strongly in developing projects with an emphasis on client focused solutions and team leadership.
Education & Credentials
Steve holds a professional bachelors degree in Architecture from Carleton University and is a registered architect with the AIBC, as well as a LEED Accredited Professional. Throughout his career, Steve has completed a number of important technical programs including Passive House Training, LEED Accreditation, Simon Fraser University’s Executive Leadership Certificate Program, as well as the AIBC Advanced Code Knowledge/ CP Program. Following graduation from Simon Fraser University in 2022, Steve was asked to return on a number of occasions to provide an alumnus perspective during information sessions as part of a team of educators promoting the Executive Leadership program to future students.
Steve has worked with the AIBC volunteer community throughout his career, including holding positions with the Intern Architect Committee, Advisory Design Committee, as well as a panelist for the Oral Reviews Committee.
